Very lightweight, which results in the dog chasing it around the floor..
Reviewed August 2024:I ended up with two of these, as the first one arrived battered so got a replacement.Bought it because our dog is a potato head and she struggles with steep sided bowls, so wanted something wider and shallower.These are very light weight and thin stainless steel, which means they tend to get pushed around the floor while eating. I’ve been unable to find an equivalent with a silicon, non-slip bottom.She does have a non-slip silicon mat, and thats what we use to help with the olympics.They were probably made to be either a pie tin or an eating plate/platter, the kind of thing and Indian thali gets served on.Probably a 25cm ceramic pie dish would be better as it would have more weight.

Bought for the wildlife
Can’t say what it’s like for a dog bowl because I bought it for the garden for the hedgehogs squirrels etc..It’s a nice shallow bowl but a decent size. Perfect for hedgehogs etc… so they can get a drink. Easy to wash out with a dish brush.

Stupid shape. Totally impractical and impossible to avoid spilling
Unfortunately this is so shallow that it’s totally impractical; to try and walk with it full without it splashing over the sides is an art that I can’t master, meaning it has to be filled in situ with a jug which I find a bit of a nuisance.I’d assumed that it was wide to stop it being knocked over – however the slightest knock causes it to spill. Because it spills so easily, you won’t want to fill it to anywhere near the top, which (with it being only a few cm tall) means you won’t get anywhere near its 1.5l capacity
