    recommended wholeheartedly
Have a whole selection of both this product and other Atalas fleeces and after several months of use; no shrinkage (and I’m washing these things every two days), no smell whatsoever (I wash them cold and my detergent is unscented so I would notice if there was so much as a whiff), easy to use, robust, and cosy. I have about… nine or ten individual fleeces of varying sizes, and every one of them has been well worth the cost. The service is also good – despite my being a bad customer and missing the very prompt and very nice emails about an issue with my order – quick and reliable.A word to the wise, in case it helps someone – using it in a small space, or with animals that are nervous and prone to hiding in only one or two places, will probably require it to be changed more often because they’re peeing all in the one/a very few spots, whereas sawdust disguises this by allowing pee to puddle underneath – not a fault of the product in such cases, just needs either some strategic double-layering, or an old towel as a base layer. All makes for wayyyy less gross stains and residue in the bottom of the cage than happens with sawdust, in my experience.

    Love these!
I’m so glad I bought this. Lovely and warm and snug plus it’s so much less messy than other types of bedding. I have one in the sleeping compartment of the hutch and I just shake it out every couple of days to get rid of the poo on the surface and then machine wash on the weekend. I’ve just bought another one so I can rotate them and not have to rush to wash/dry it. Very well made and dries really quickly. Would never go back to shavings now!

    Chunky fleece.
Very chunky thick liner. Lovely colour. Soft fleece on one side, waterproof material on other. Washes well.

    Great fleece liners!!!
I absolutely love these fleece liners! I had a custom size made and it fits my cage perfectly and the Guinea pigs love it! They popcorn and snuggle into it to sleep. Martha is very helpful as well and gets back to messages quickly and the liners arrived very quickly too. I have gone ahead and ordered more as I like them so much. The only thing I had trouble with was getting pee stains out of the darker fleece. I washed it on 30 degrees as instructed but on a shorter cycle it doesn’t do the job so make sure to put it on a longer cycle otherwise the pee patches don’t come up clean. Also found it sometimes needs an extra spin too as they hold a lot of water. I haven’t had any trouble with shrinking even after washing but I do let them air dry. I would highly recommend them for any small pet owner! Thank you

Extremely happy guinea pigs now they have this fleece liner.
I was going to say I love this product but as it’s for the guinea pigs I can’t – since I put it in the cage they have been running around popcorning and squeaking like crazy. They love the product but I can’t hear myself think because they are so noisy. The product is light weight and feels lovely and soft. I haven’t washed it yet but I recommend a small horse bag to wash it in if you are going to put it in your washing machine unless you like unblocking the filter every time. It seems light and as if it will dry fairly quickly, for convenience I am going to order a second set so I can have one on and one in the wash; now I’ve seen the product I am happy to order two.We ordered the product for a C&C cage and the fit was spot on, it’s large enough that it covers of all of the base and has a little overlap at the edge, presumably in case there is any slight shrinkage in the future – either way, it’s just the size I’d wanted.

Smells after several washes and is always wet in their cage
When I brought this fleece, I thought it would be a better way to have bedding for my guinea pig. I have cleaned this out twice a week, three times a week. It was still gross, and all wet soon after being in the cage. It will look fine and be a bit smelly and yet when I pick it up, it’s drenched in wee. I’ve soaked it and changed the water several times before putting it in the washing machine and it still smells. I read what others did, I tried that, it still smells. My mum used crystals that absorb wee and that seemed to work, but it did not smell okay once it went in their cage. It is never dry within their cage, even if there is bedding such as sawdust or guinea pig friendly cat litter on top and underneath. I have really tried to make it work but it doesn’t. I think I’d have to clean it every day for it to be okay to use. My piggies really loved it, it was nice and soft, but once it goes in their cage it is constantly wet and it made my guinea pigs all wet with their own wee. It holds on to the wee and it just stays there, when I put newspaper and bedding underneath it and on top, the fleece will still be wet even when the bedding on top is fine. I am baffled, I don’t understand it.
