    12 litre fish tank
This little fish tank is lovely my daughter wanted some fish but her room being a small space was a problem but this is ideal as it’s smaller but has everything think you need to have your own small aquarium in your room, it comes with a pump and lamp it’s easy to all set up and it really does look lovely in her room, it’s good value for money.

    Picture misleading
You can’t put more than 1 male siamese fighter in together like the picture shows, they’ll kill each other, and I think it’s illegal to put them together.Tanks seem fine other than that

It’s a good starter tank, but not great for betta fish.
Good for beginners but I recommend using it as a terrarium or a tank for Amano shrimp and ramshorn snails. As someone who has 3 fish tanks at home and has done many years of research, I would say that this is not ideal for a Betta fish. It’s very small (especially if decorations are added) and the ideal minimum tank size for a betta is 15L. Due to its shape, it will be hard to add a heater in it as bettas require 25-celsius degrees (75+ Fahrenheit) water temperature. The fish bowl kit includes everything you will need to start (fish bowl, filter, and a light). The filter has a sponge and it can be replaced with filter media if needed. The assembly was easy and the suction cups at the bottom of the filter seem to be doing a good job. The only issue here is that it’s too high and it splashes water. The light is easy to attach to the fish bowl and is very bright. It also has all the required LED colours to help with plant growth.Pros:- Easy for beginners- All in one set- Good as a quarantine bown or for snailsCons:- Not great for a betta or other fish- Hard to place a heater- There was a piece of tape on the bowl and once I removed it, some adhesive residue was left on it, and it’s hard to remove.Overall it’s a good set and I would recommend it as long as it’s used for species that don’t require a heater or more space.

    Great little fish bowl
I love everything to do with fish so when this little bowl came up for review I was very happy as I was looking for a small tank-bowl to keep some shrimps to grow on for my larger tank and this is perfect. It’s a very simple tank in that I mean it only comes with a small water pump-filter and a clamp on light. The filter is very adequate for the bowl and comes with a long upright pipe with a flow regulator that feeds to an elbow or a spray bar with me having a deep substrate this pipe was too long with the spray bar and I was getting a lot of splash over the bowl so I cut two inch off the pipe and used the elbow to gently feed the water back into the bowl and it works a treat. The light is a cute little thing but is also very adequate and is full spectrum leds this just fastens to the rim of the bowl, both the filter and light are usb powered.Used as it comes with the addition of a bit of gravel a couple of pieces of rock or wood or both and maybe a couple of small plants this would be ideal for a few white cloud minnows, a small gold fish or any small cold water fish if like me you add a small 30 watt heater you can then add some small tropical fish or betta fish and they all would look great, this is a great starter bowl.I have actually added the small heater and a small air stone run by a little air pump to help keep the oxygen levels up so a great home for some shrimps. I also put plant growing substrate at the base then placed a couple of pieces of driftwood and a piece of cholla wood that shrimps love plus a few moss balls and some plant cuttings from my larger tank and I think it looks totally amazing and I’m over the moon with it.This is in my opinion a great little fish bowl and is ideal as a starter in fish keeping and it won’t take up too much room. The price I believe is excellent and it wouldn’t cost much more to make it look great. This bowl is well worthy of 5 stars I believe and I fully recommend.

    Plastic aquarium
The problem is that the aquarium is made of plastic nylon and it gets algae very quickly and scratches when cleaned. So it is not usable. It is not like glass.

    Too small for fish.
I was planning on using this for my son so he can get used to looking after a diminutive sized pet, eg a fish. However, no matter how small, I feel the bowl is too small to give them any space or life, especially once gravel and other features have been added. Also, there are no intructions whatsoever and it comes in a plain brown cardboard box with no images to give you any clue either. This is quite an oversight in my opinion, especially if it is a gift for a child, as the air pump, light and filter won’t be obvious in their set up and each piece of equipment have their unique features etc, and cannot be assumed to be generic, even if one has some familiarity with them in principle. Anyway, I worked out how to set it up myself and got everything working quite easily. However, as I’ve already said, as it’s too small for fish, in my opinion, I am not sure what to actually do with it. Some have suggested terrapins or shrimps, which might be an idea – but that isn’t really an ideal use for something marketed as a “fish bowl”.

    Starter kit
I absolutely love this aquarium fish bowl with air pump/filter and light. Great starter kit! The bowl is plastic and really good quality. Fantastic set up, I’m really happy with it all. The filter is decent and the light is nice and bright. It’s a great size and looks beautiful!
