Amazing idea, but keep an eye on it if your kitty is a chewer!
I think if my cat was reviewing this, he’d give it 6 out of 5 stars. I’ve never seen him so obsessed with a toy that didn’t have catnip in itFor me its a 4 star though for the simple reason that, despite it giving him hours of entertainment both switched on and off, bits can too easily be chewed off.As a more detailed review though:First things first; the battery compartment takes two cell batteries (provided) and is screwed very securely shut so your kitty doesn’t risk eating them. The screw is a micro screw, so if you don’t have one of those mini “Christmas cracker” screwdrivers, you might want to get one first. I managed to open it no problem with an old kitchen knife point, but if you don’t have anything handy, its an issue. The “mouse” has three rows of fingers (each row comprising a set of longer ones with two rows of smaller ones) and a long thin tail – all of which is firm but flexible plastic, and the arrangement of the long and short fingers means that no matter how much kitty flips it around, it’ll still keep moving however it lands.Once sorted, you just flick the switch and away it vibes. It has a surprisingly strong vibration, so that it jiggers on hard surfaces and “crawls” around like a creepy bug… Cat went APE! He was absolutely fascinated with it – in that “OHMYGODILOVEITIHATEITILOVEIT!!!!” way.He actually plays with it more when its switched off (and goes INSANE with it) – but when on it gives him a different fascination of watching it, following it, tapping it and running away – rinse and repeat; so its actually like two toys in one. Three if you count the joy he gets from just touching it to his head (hes… a special little guy…)Now – while he hasn’t bitten off any of the fingers, within the first 5 minutes of play he’d sheered off two pieces of the tail, which is significantly thinner than the fingers and therefore really easy to clip through with sharp teeth. He didn’t even gnaw at the tail, they just came off as he caught and bit it. These segments were small enough to swallow, but probably large enough to risk choking or causing issues if ingested. You would think then that my rating would be 1 star; but here’s the thing – as I was sat with him watching him play, I was able to quickly pick up the errant bits; and then to solve the issue permanently, I just cut the tail off completely. It doesn’t spoil the fun for him, but makes me feel more comfortable knowing hes not going to harm himself. I would therefore suggest if you buy one, to cut the tail off before giving it to your cat.I’m not even sure why it needs a tail – its just cosmetic, and lets be honest, cats couldn’t care less about toys retaining biological accuracy – they play with anything that amuses them!I would say though, if your cat is an avid chewer, and especially if its a bigger cat, the fingers might be cause for concern. Mine is a full biter more than a nibbling chewer, and his play tends to be “whack and run” rather than “sit and devour”, so this toy (once surgically enhanced) is perfect for his play style. Just be mindful that if your cat is more the nibbling kind, that this toy may be unsuitable.

Dow side – I have poor eyesight a d arthriticky thumbs
PLEASE OTE: THE LETTER WHICH COMES AFTER ‘M’ I THE ALPHABET DOES ‘T WORK – CAT BROKE IT!Oh my God, have just received this a d have bee i stiches watchi g my Mai e Coo , Pip, playi g with it. Who eeds TV? It’s early days but have give it 5 for e tertai me t value. Dow side – I have poor eyesight a d arthriticky thumbs, so had to get a frie d to put the batterys i for me. Screw is so small, I wish there was a other desig to put the batteries i . My livi g room is carpeted so the mouse woul ‘t move o that, but eve so, I was i stitches watchi g Pip playi g with this ‘u k ow a d possibly da gerous creature from a other pla et’. He was approachi g it so cautiously a d prete d batti g it as he would i the wild. I was just laughi g out loud. I fou d a piece of vi yl floori g to put it o a d whe it actually moved he we t bo kers leapi g arou d a d prete d batti g it. I the had the idea of putti g it i a tray so that it moves arou d i circles. He ca ‘t get e ough of wt chi g it. I’m goi g to eed a stash of batteries to keep this o the go. I’m pla i g how I ca desig a d make somethi g whereby the mouse gets a larger ru a d maybe a maze so I ca keep it i the livi g room. Mmm – cardboard, playdoh, ??His brother, Pa da, is much more cautious though. He prefers to sit a d watch Pip play. I’ll i troduce it to him whe it’s switched off. It’s probably o e of those toys which I will eed to put away every ow a d agai to keep their i terest goi g, like the Frolicat Laser Toy which has bee a other great buy. Wish I could fi d more thi gs like this. They do get bored at this time of the year whe the weather is so awful. Thumbs up to MotoMouse.

    It’s ok
A bit noisy for cats , goes round in circles rather than across the floor so not really as described

  5. Mr. FacePalm

    Good
Cats like it, no issues with battery.

  6. Miss K. Clarke

    Cats best friend
Cat loves this, my only complaints are the noise it makes on the laminated floor and having to keep changing the batteries

  7. Mehreen Yousaf

    Not worth buying
The toy is very loud, my cats are interested in it but only to watch. it’s not safe for cats to play on their own. Since it’s plastic, my cat tried to bite the piece of the tail off.

  8. Alaa Gamal

    Annoys cats and human
It doesn’t move in long distance and my cats don’t like it

Super Spielzeug!!! Funktioniert aber nur auf Glatten Oberflächen. Also nicht auf Teppich!!!!

  10. Edurne
